Woaw, that would be something if true: Google using quantum computing for image search?
Was reading 'Google working with D-Wave on what may or may not be quantum computing' (QC) http://bit.ly/8eIElm @engadget
QC is (AFAIK) in a very early stage of development, but is revolutionary if realized. A QC calculates all solutions of a problem at once; existing as a super imposed Q. state of the computer (still following :)) I could imagine such computing power helps image/object recognition a lot.
